Two workers, aged 21 and 33, threatened with an AXE and knife by two men who demanded cash in terrifying shop raid

Workers at a Balmain grocery store were debilitated by two men outfitted with a hatchet and a blade on Friday night.

At around 9:30pm two representatives, matured 21 and 33, were working behind the counter at the internal west Sydney store when they were stood up to by the men who kept running into the store.

Police say the men requested money from staff and after that fled the store from the back of the store into the auto stop with cash.

The representatives and various clients who were in the general store at the time were uninjured.

Officers from the Leichhardt Neighborhood were called and a wrongdoing scene was set up.

The principal man is depicted as being around 165-170cm tall, with a thin form. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper with a red and white chest theme, dull shaded jeans, and dim shoes

The second man is depicted as being around 170-175cm tall, with a medium form. He was wearing dim hooded jumper, dark jeans, and light shaded shoes.

The two men were wearing dark gloves and concealed their appearances.

Police accept there are witnesses they are yet to address and empower anybody with any data to contact police.
